Default Searching for a quilt book???

Ok, there is a quilt book out there with very bright colors on the front (describes most of them)...lol. There is fabric inside a plastic cup with a domed lid....on the front I think if my memory serves me right. If anyone has one could you please email me the title of the book. I don't seem to find it anywhere and can't come up with the name to search on Amazon and I have been trhough pages and pages of books there and still can't find it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks!!!

DeMaris,

Is it this one? There are fat quarters on the front, and the cup you remembered on the back. I knew which book I was looking for right off the bat! Hope this is the one...

Just glad I was online...I needed a diversion this morning. DD is home from deployment and came home to get her dog and her truck. The TRUCK I won't miss, but that little dog I loved on for a YEAR. Sniff sniff...I'm off to quilt. I do my best pouting in the sewing room!

Years ago I deployed for Desert Storm and I had to leave my puppy with my mom....I understand that far too well. My mom fell in love with her and I found it so hard to take her back once I returned. I knew my mom would take good care of her and she would take care of my mom...so I left her with my mom after my return. I was sad for months but every time I went back home, they were both there to greet me at the door. I now have a very independent cat that in cat lives is 84 years old....she is so precious...but getting very old.

Thanks again for the information. I appreciate that I have been looking for that book for a long time. I have a friend that wants to make the quilt and I could wing it but I thought I'd buy her the book and we could both make one together and chat while we quilt.

You have a great day quilting and glad to hear your DD made it home safe and sound!

Hugs

DeMaris,

Seems like we needed each OTHER this morning. She was SO worried that he would not WANT her, so I was glad to see him so happy to see her. The 1st day he bounced from one lap to the other. He would sit on my lap..and look at her..then bounce to HER lap and look at me! I have THREE dogs of my own, so I"m not alone by ANY means! (oh and a cat that approching 20 in HUMAN years!) Chewy was the 1st lap dog I have ever had in my house. I will miss him loving me, but not hogging the foot space in the bed or his YAP! lolol Thanks for the pep talk and so glad that was the book you were looking for! I HATE spinning my wheels looking for something I just cannot put my FINGER on!

PS there is a good chance we will get him again ...so I'm glad that we can help her out by keeping him.

I am sure she totally appreciated the fact that you can help her out and take the puppy, as it is one less thing she has to worry about on deployments. As I know you worry about a lot of stupid things when you are gone and there isn't anything you can generally do about it. She is blessed to have you and you her!!!

You have a wonderful day and sew up a storm!!!

I wish I were home sewing today. I own an espresso stand and I work all day today so I won't be home till later and by time I get home....sewing is on the back burner at that point....but maybe this weekend I will get the opportunity.

Take care of yourself!
Hugs

Wow, I'm so touched by this thread. Quilting, FQ books, puppies left with mothers by deployed female soldiers - DeMaris in the PNW and Beth in AZ have so much in common - and it's all come together on the quiltingboard. I think I'm going to cry.
