I'll be honest with yo u. The shipping does get a little much toward the end. My 4th round (1 round short of finished) cost $30 + to send from Utah to Ontario Canada. I figure the next will be about $40.00. But the friendship and love you will exchange is wonderful.

I've been here, but with the moving and unpacking, I don't really have all that much time. I'll be back online regularly once the "black hole" aka sewing room and the rest of the house is done.

Yes, I have the twin grandbabies. They are 7 months old today and growing like weeds. I miss them terribly and can't wait to get my paws on them and spoil them a bit more

The reason I ask is this......the fabric I used to put together my center was actually purchased for me to put together a quilt. So I have a fair amount of coordinating fabric that goes with the center. Is this something that's proper round robin etiquette or is it rude?? Have other people sent along extra fabric with their centers before?? Just wondering. Thanks and whatever the answer is....it's okay with me. I can always stick the fabric away in my newly growing stash :)
Yes, it's ok to send coordinating fabric, but only if the person asks for it. I'm sure if you ask the person you are sending it to first, they might say yes. Or...you can just make sure that others who will be working on your center know that if they are in need of coordinating fabric, you'd be glad to send it along. Most will wait until the person who has the center asks for it. Then you would send what you have so they can use it.
Clear as mud?
Clear as mud......and Montablu(Momma) no.....I don't have that many yards.....not quite anyway. LOL

I would not mail extra fabric. If it is not used, it adds to the cost of mailing the quilt around. I would keep it until (if) someone asked for it. Maybe send swatches.
As a Canadian mailer, I'm pretty conscious of high postal costs!

That's what I was going to suggest - if you have coordinating fabric include a swatch of it - let them know how much you have and have them PM you or if local enough call you, if they want you to send it to them. This way it's available to them, but if it's not needed or desired for what they have in mind the extra postage is not being incurred.

Thank you everyone for the advice and information. As a newbie to this was just wondering how this has been handled in the past. I'll plan on letting folks in my group now the fabric is available....just say the word. Including swatches sounds like an excellent idea. Thanks again!

OK. I think that I will use this for my center with it being on point. Now, do I measure 24 x 24 from point to point or side to side . I added a note that I hope explains what I am talking about. Thanks for your help!!!!
