Love the Star you have chosen for your centre, however Terri correct me if I am wrong the centre blocks need to be 24 1/2" so that when the next border goes on it will be 24" finished.

Sorry to poke my nose in Terri, but there are a lot of newbies on here

I was under the impression our centres could be anything from 12.5"to 24.5", rectangle or square.
I could be in trouble here, my centre is about 22"square.
Yes, it's finished ready to send, and I finished the label.

I also thought the centre could be any size up to 24.5" and although I have yet to square mine it will be 24" I expect once that is done.

Sure hope I don't have to remove my frame to make it larger in order to be a finished 24.5"

I am just going by the rules for the last IRRII. If you think about it whenthe next border goes on, say you have a block just 12" square, you are going to end up with a very small quilt.

For safety sake go back and look at the rules.

Sorry everyone I have just looked at the rules for this one and they are different so forget what I said and go with your 12" block.

Hope I have not confused anyone.

Thanks Elle, was going tohrough all threads to find correct info.
Thank goodness I don't have to redo my centre.
Although, then I could have used the octopus.

Thank you ladies. It's a really easy block. I love Amish style quilts with the vibrant colors set in dark tones.
