Can a sewing machine be too sensitive?
#1
I am piecing some fleece and it was going wonderful. I set it aside to try a sample of the 6 hour method and discovered my machine was skipping stitches changed needle worked fine. Just got back to my fleece and it is skipping again no matter which needle is in. I tried some scrap cotton and flannel. No problems. A friend of mine left me her sewing machine to take a look at (says it won’t work). I thought I would take a look at it. It is your basic sewing machine nothing fancy. Well it works fine. I put my fleece in and it sewed like a boat takes to flat water. Sweet.
So is my machine just to sensitive to thickness??
Thanks!

I cleaned the bobbin area and changed to a larger needle. I just find in strange that I got all the piecing done and it acts up on the border. Anyway the basic machine did the job quickly but boy is it combersome after using mine....
I just hope when I start quilting it that my machine will behave...
