I tried out one of the machines and it's perfect for classes...I got the refurbished ones for $54.00 each....I can't believe how good they work....I paid in the thousands for each of my other machines that I have been using for yrs,,,,,I am SEW excited......

You should be excited. I think it's wonderful you want to teach children to sew. Great deal you got on the machines. Have a good time with the kids when you get started and be sure to post pictures. We'd love to see them.

I will post pictures.....getting the machines was first step.....I have to get other supplies and make up some kits and class plans ....my goal is to start 1st class as soon as school is out in June....i have people that have been wanting me to do this for yrs.....so we'll see how it goes...!!!! I have a lot to do on top of my personal quilting and projects but i finally got things rolling by getting these machines...With each child having same model,,,it will be easier for me ..i am going to teach them the "care" of a machine also....I will do one wk classes....2 hr per day....5 days.....and they will make things to take home and use.....

Good job! I taught my then-11 year old GD to quilt and she took to it like a duck to water!
