I didn't realize plexiglass was so cheap! For some reason, I thought it was really expensive. Please post a picture if you get a chance. My husband is very handy and has all the tools to make one.

I like the table ideas. I especially like the wooden one. I think it looks much nicer.

Lisa, I lied..I got it at Lowes! lol! $16.99 I bought an extra one, for my friend but she never picked it up.

I looked at the video on U-Tube, How to make a cheap sewing table. I made one out of styrofoam and covered it with a heavy plastic from Jo-Ann's. It works wonderful.

www.allbrands.com offers acrylic table extensions starting at 49.99 depending on the size of table you want. Just pick the brand of machine. They are shaped for the design of the machine. I have had two (broke first one) and love it! Can "hide" things under, extra storage for easily lost tools. Watterstide -- Would love to see a picture of the homemade version!! How do the legs go on?
