Hi! There is a Hobby Lobby that just opened today near me. I get most of my fabric at a LQS. However, I'm wondering what you all think of their fabric / quilting section!

I don't have one near me, and never heard of one before this board. Can't help you out!

I've always had good luck w/ fabric from Hobby Lobby but do feel it and make sure it's good quality. They do not have a hugh selection (at least the one here doesn't). The cottons are most always $6.99 per yard then on sale for 30% off that. They are not open on Sundays though.

I find most of their fabric to be a bit better than Jo Anns and some of the inventory on par with LQS . Its worth checking out! You will know by the feel , if its up to your standards.

I also have liked all the fabric I get at Hobby Lobby. But I DON'T like that they are closed on Sunday. But, oh well, I work every Sunday so it doesn't really matter.

We have Hobby Lobby stores in our area and they have some decent material. As GagaSmith noted they do run 30% off sales on their fabrics. They also have theme fabrics that are great for quilts for kids.

ranks right up there with walmart and joannes fabrics- prices are a bit better than joannes around here- but the fabrics are about the same- some are ok-some not so great.
