I have a Janome 6600 and I really am happy with it. So I am curious about what types of problems you are having and how long you had the machine..... maybe I need to watch out for what you are dealing with now

I love my Juki F600, it’s been trouble free and love it more than my Janome. Do go test drive if you have the opportunity.

I agree with this. I"ve had 3 Bernina sewing machines and a Bernina serger. They've all been a delight to sew on.

That new Bernina 475 is a pretty great machine! The new 375 is a smaller, but pretty packed machine! But I have my eye on the 590! The Jumbo Bobbin is on the 475 and 590, but not on the 375. And you have to go up to the 5 Series to get embroidery, or the Dual Feed. The 4 and 5 Series can use the Bernina Stitch Regulator.

I just bought the new version of the Bernina 570 QE and I love it! It is a delight to sew with. This new version has many of the features previously only offered on machines in the 7 and 8 series, like jumbo bobbin, 8.5" to the right of the needle, dual feed. Bernina was offering $500 off on this model (and some others) until the end of March, and I took advantage of that.

Is the machine you are talking about numbered 570QE or is there a newer number for the newer version?

I've had my Bernina since 1992 and have never had a problem with it. I do have it tuned up faithfully every 1 1/2 years. I love my sewing machine and if I had to buy another it will definitely be a Bernina. Good luck with your decision.

I'm a Janome gal myself...own 3 of them. I'd have the 6600P checked out first (tune up) and if it is still giving you problems look at the Bernina.

Buying a sewing machine is kind of like buying a car - a personal preference of what you are comfortable with. Listen to what others have to say from their experience but bottom line, it is your choice and what you want.
