I see it's been about a month since this was asked and topic
closed. However, curiosity about others on this board is getting to me. In a few words (one word)? What is another hobby you do? I am a rubber stamper.
However, full disclosure I am more of a rubber stamp collector.
    What about you?

    xoxo

I love to take pictures. I haven't done it much in the last year, but now I started a blog where I post a picture each day of something I did, created, saw that was interesting/boring, somewhere I went, etc.

My plan is to do it for 365 days straight.

Not much time left after being on this board and quilting! LOL But, I do love jig saw puzzles (I have quite a collection-from 1,000 pcs to 8,000 pcs!) The harder, the better! I also read and love cross-word puzzles.

    I read, I write, I roleplay online...

Before I became interested in quilting, I started my sewing endeavors by making cage furniture for my pet rats. They love hanging hammocks and tunnels!

Jennalyn, how clever!! Did you find patterns for that purpose or make up your own? Or find patterns and re-purpose them??

Jill, thank you! When I first started, I used picture tutorials on a site called "Rattributes" to figure out the basic construction of a flat hammock, tunnel, etc. Then I started connecting the dots and seeing how to make various different types from the same basic principles. Ferret hammocks are made in the same ways, just a bit larger, so I whipped up some for friends as a test run. They were actually the first things to prompt me to touch a sewing machine!

I would love to see pics of your rats relaxing in their hammocks and playing with their toys. I had a pet rat when I was young-his name was Checkers. He was all white and I loved him to bits!

Aww, I love white ratties! I'm adopting a pair of pale cream girls to join my colony next month, my first lighter-colored babies. I have four at the moment.

The only pictures I have of my guys are in hammocks made by other people. But I make the same kinds! I just tend to gift or trade them.

Paper crafts. I make cards, invitations, party paper (favors, place cards etc.). That's why I have the studio cutter. I bought it about 10 years ago before accucut got into quilting big time. Cutter was inexpensive back then, but I have hundreds and hundreds (and hundreds) of dies.

I love to digitize embroidery designs. Some I start with clip art but I love to doodle and sketch, so some are of my own creation!

I used to tole paint but haven't picked up a paintbrush in years. I guess I would just rather be spending my time quilting. Here are some pictures of my work. Again, totally all cat....

I also enjoy doing cross-stitch and embroidery, making jewelry, baking, reading. I want to make some cloth dolls, and do some 1/12th scale stuff for my dollhouse kit.

Horses and dogs...and human kind too! I am busy re-training a rescue horse who is one of the most graceful animals I have ever seen...she has a few "issues"--has been mistreated in the past.

Tomorrow, I will take my next BOM, all cut out and ready to go and sit in her pasture with carrots to get her NOT to run away from humans....it's supposed to be 70 and sunny here. Quilting and horses....my loves right now.
