LOL I always do this! I usually wear flip flops and just flip the one on my right foot off before i sew but then i walk around ironing etc. and go back and forth so i never put it back on LOL. I understand totally!

I always wear shoes or slippers - a friend who used to sew barefoot, had a needle surgecally removed from her foot and had to wear a "boot" for 2 weeks - and was not able to sew or drive for the entire time.

Barefoot is the only way for me. I tried with my house slippers and it just doesn't work!

I sew with both shoes off most of the time. If I'm dressed to go out and I sit back down, then I sew with one shoe on and one shoe off. I have always done my sewing this way, made home-ec SUCK. Teacher didn't want you taking off you shoes (but I used to any way) My mom used to say it was "The Hilly Billy" coming out in me, my standard answer was always the same "SO".

I grew up at the beach so it's no shoes all the time!
