I was just wondering if when you do a shop hop, are you required to purchase something at each of the shops or will you still get your "passport" stamped without a purchase?

When I went on the shop hops, you just get them stamped at each location (YOu don't have to buy anything as we paid $5.00 for the passport)

You usually don't "have" to buy something, but sometimes you are entered for additional prizes if you buy something.

Well, I went to the shop hop in Celina, OH today (there were 17 or 19 shops in one place) and you didn't win any prizes unless your passport was fully stamped and the only way you could get it stamped was to make a purchase from each vendor. Won't waste the gas or my time 1 1/2 hours drive time one way next year. There was a $5 admission fee which I felt was completely acceptable.
