Hello everyone. I know there are many topics on this site about how to machine quilt. So I have a question.

I have a 50" X50"pinwheel quilt all sandwiched and pinned. I always hand quilt, but tonight, I want to get brave and do it my machine. My machine is computerized so I under stand that I set the stitch at 3.0 Also have the walking foot and want to stitch in the ditch.
Now please correct me on this. I roll up one side to meet in the middle, (even have those bicycle loopies to hold it together.)

Now my question is. do I start to sttitch in the middle of the quilt and work out like we do when we hand quilt.

When I do stitch in the ditch, I usually start on one side and work to the other side, removing pins as I go. So far I've had pretty good success, but I mostly do small projects...mostly baby quilts.

If I have long seams that I'm sewing from top to bottom, I usually do those first, and then go back and do the smaller seams. If I'm only sewing small seams, I start at the center and work my way out.
