Default Should I change this? Can't figure out if OK

I cut these animal squares 6 1/2 inches from scrap fabric and I love them. Made the rail fence strips to go with. I don't know if I should go ahead or do something different? Please give me ideas or leave it. It is about 55 x 55 without boarders. Thanks

I just made something similar but I altered my rail fence strips. One row was vertical and the next row was horizontal. I think it made my quilt pattern flow better. Give it a try.

I agree that it is too static with rail fence all in one direction.

I agree, too stripey looking with rail fences all goin same direction. Play around with them a little more.

Try alternating your rail fence blocks like a Warm Wishes. It will make a huge difference in the feel of the quilt!

Change, make it look like the gray and white are borders around the blocks with the blue a sashing.

I like the idea of alternating the fence. There is a kid out there that is going to have a lot of fun looking at those pictorial squares! One of my G-daughters, after being told it was time to go to sleep, got caught with a flashlight under her quilt. When confronted by her auntie she explained that she was just saying goodnight to the animals on her quilt.. "I do that every night". She is almost 11 and has the quilt since she was amost 3. You have created friends for another child!!!

I agree with the majority of the ladies, the rails need to be flipped.

Thanks girls, I already took the rail fence out and use sashing. I posted with red border this morning. Thanks for your help.
