These are Christmas gift, not quite finished. They are going to be hand quilted around the glasses and bottles..and I think perhaps a sequin or two for the bubbly !!!!!

There is a fourth one "cabernet" but I couldn't figure how to add the fourth picture.....

I have two wall hangings that go along with the placemats.

Have you seen the pattern that makes 4 place mats in one that you just flip over?

I used to keep a table cloth on the table...then we got a cat. I make the placemats to protect the table; I tell my son not to worry about them because they are washable. My husband seems to think he shouldn't set his used utensils on the placemats (apparently he doesn't listen), so he sets them back on the table; then I have to clean up the mess he made on the table! The finish on the table didn't live up to our expectations, and having to clean up his messes just makes it worse!

I forgot to put a table protector on the table when my nephews and neices visited. Just used placemats. One setting at the varnished table has now the perfect deeply gouged outline of where the placemat had sat. The delightful angel used his fork to do it.
