My 15 year-old granddaughter will be going into high school next year. She is a rather personable young lady and has a lot of friends. Some of her Jr. High classmates will be attending a different high school, and some members of her swim team are graduating, so she will be losing some of the friends she has had for several years. I suggested a signature quilt for her and she was very enthusiastic about the idea. I made the blocks, put some in a plastic baggie along with a pigma pen and she put this in her backpack. Between now and the time school is out, she should have all the signatures she needs/wants, and I will sew the blocks together for her. I wish someone had done this for me!!!

What a great idea! Having her help me will give her more entitlement to her quilt. Thanks...

What a great idea!!!
I did that for my DD track coach, Except I made the quilt making sure that I had enough "white" spaces for each team member to sign. Only problem was, some of the girls decided they wanted to use "puff" paint to sign their names. Oh Well, coach loved it, even though the puff paint really made it look ....... Not as nice.

What a great memory to cherish every time she uses the quilt!

Pictures needed when it's finished.
