Signature quilt
The quilt I am making is put together on the diagional, first 1 block then 3 blocks, etc, etc. I want to quilt it in two sections. Can the batting and backing be put together on the diagional, then peiced together? Being fairly new to quilting I'm not sure what to do. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. mary

machine quilting in sections is one book out there. marti mitchell i think.
reversible quilts by sharon pederson is another.
quiltville.com i think has info on doing it in sections too.
i have about three king size tops waiting on me and they are in two or three sections.

There is a new product called batting tape that is made to connect batting pieces together. The only problems I can see is connecting the 2 backing fabric pieces if they are on the diagonal(bias) you will need to starch well and be careful not to stretch the edge.
