They have heat-resistant cloth (second from bottom of page or bottom item if you wish to buy it prequilted ):

I've gotten mine from Hancock's and if I remember correctly, it was about $4 per yard and a yard makes LOTS of potholders.

JoAnn's has it, too. Just ask for the silver ironing board cover stuff. They'll know exactly what you mean!!.

I just bought some about six months or so ago from Hancock's. I found only Hancock's and JoAnn's carried it, but maybe some smaller stores would. Just go tell them you want ironing board fabric, it tends to only come in silver.

I pd. 8 a yrd or so, but it was worth it. I made 2 ironing boards and I just love them.

I bought mine from www.jhittlesewing.com I think at the time it was $3 something and free shipping and it does make a lot of potholders and oven mitts.

Thank you everyone, I don't have a JoAnn's or Hancock's around here. But I found it at Fabric Depot on sale. I was doing a search , but didn't know what it was called. Insulbrite. but you have to watch it, some places are selling it in 22" widths instead of 45".
