Simplicity Bias tape maker isn't what I thought it was. Help!!!
I bought a bias tape maker from Simplicity thinking it would be great for making binding. Well, it doesn't make binding the way I do and I don't even know how to sew this binding on a quilt. I thought it would just fold the 2 1/2" fabric in half, wrong sides together, like how I do when I bind a quilt. But it double folds it, like for making an apron or vines. Am I kooky? Anyone know how to make it fold the fabric in half? I have two tips, a 2" and a 2 1/2". Please help me. Jeanne

You can get the tips at JoAnns also. At least they had them when I got mine over a year ago. With that tip I've been happy using the machine to make my quilt bindings. I have the other tips to use to make binding for other things like baby bibs and potholders

Sorry, I have to laugh. You got a bias tape maker and you're surprised it makes bias tape?
