I'm not sure if that is what they are called... I've seen quilts that have a little ribbon type tag with writing/embroidery on it attatched to the binding and was wondering if anyone knew if they were made of cotton or ribbon? I would like to start putting them on my quilts.
    Thanks to everyone in advance!

Those are usually made from twill tape, which is kind of a woven ribbon. You can stamp them yourself with fabric ink and a letter stamper or there are places that will print them for you. These are more popular in the scrapbooking world ....

Ahhhh. Thank you Rachel, that takes me back to childhood. My mom put them on everything. What a great idea for a quilt tag.

Here is a site that will print them for you:

    http://www.twilltape.com/servlet/the...ape/Categories

Never tried this site myself, but it looks like he has done a lot of business and gotten positive reviews.

    Cheers!
