Default Singer Brilliance 6199 or Brother SQ9050

Anyone have any experience with either of these machines? Looking to get a sewing machine at some point but know nothing about them really.

I started with a brother sq 9000 and loved it. I compared mine to the sq9050 and I don't see the difference in the two machines. I did buy mine over 3 years ago so I assume the 9050 is just the newer version. I still have it as a class machine because it's smaller and easy to carry. I made several quilts with it and never had a problem

Don't have any experience with the singer but I bought my sq9050 from walmart as a companion to my espire. I have used it very frequently with no problem, goes to all my classes, sews really well. It is a very lovely machine for a beginner. It makes beautiful buttonholes, has a nice stitch. I would buy it again in a heartbeat
