Does anyone have one? Are they worth the price.

I just got my Baby Lock the Quest Quilter's Machine, last May, the dealer told me that he would give me more than I paid for it as a trade in but we are still talking big bulks.

I just don't know if I would get that much useage out of it.

I also purchased a Baby Lock Designer Sewing Machine, that I take to classes, I love that one. Love the auto needle threader on both machines. As we get older, the eye's go as we know, can't see the needle's eye.

I have an Ellisimo and every time I sew on it my hubby says he hears me say "I love my machine!" and I don't even realize I am saying it out loud! I researched and researched all the machines in this price range knowing I had a once in a lifetime opportunity (had a settlement coming in). Then I made a point of trying everyone of them out spending at least an hour and testing every aspect I could think of with different weights of fabric.

Finally there was no way around it - the Ellisimo won hands down! I have had it since June 2010 and have never regretted my decision once!

(By the way, I tested the Bernina 830, Viking Diamond, Janome 11000, and Brother Quattro.)

Now I will stop ranting on and on and say that you should test drive the Ellisimo to see how you feel about it in person.

Good luck and if you buy it, you will be surprised just how much you do use it!

I bought my ELLISIMO last March. It is an amazing machine. I had a Bernina 200E that I sold and that gave me a nice down payment. it came loaded, walking foot, straight and zig zag plate, etc, etc. The extra feet are affordable. IMHO it is worth every penny. I can't say enough about this machine. I had owned Bernina machines since 1984 (4 in all). Never thought of owning anything else until I saw the Ellisimo. Let us know what you decide. Emily,FL
