You should ABSOLUTELY not bring those machines home for yourself. Instead, give me her name, phone number address and a schedule of when she will be available and I'll talk to her for you (ah, for me.....) LOL

I have an old featherweight and love it! It is the perfect machine for classes - I believe it only weighs 11 lbs. My other machine is a Janome and although I really love that one too... it is too heavy to lug to classes. I cant help you be strong... if it is a featherweight it will be the best indulgence ever!! If she is donating for a raffle, try to buy all the tickets!

I have two fw, my future son in law bought me anohter one for Christmas and my daughter told him I had enough and she took it.....now she has to learn to use it. I buy another if I could....something wrong with me.........

If the machine is in good shape and the price is right grab it!!! If you decide later that you don't want to keep it you can always sell it for what you have in it or a little more. Would love to find a FW that could be converted to a crank.
