You sound So much like me I could actually be my life you are talking about. Do what makes You happy. I am still working on it. I have been divorced for 24 yrs. And I am 62 next month.

If you are crazy, then I am too. I will be 62 this years and I like to make happy quilts that are meant to be used and used up. I am never going to make a perfect quilt or a show quilt and it is not an aspiration of mine. If I made dolls I would do the same. Sewing is my happy place and I sew with the thought that I am doing what I love and that when I give a quilt or share an idea I am spreading the love ... one humble quilt at a time ... Pat

I am the same way. I can and have made very complex quilts but I don't like too, so I don't. I think that if you don't want to do something, even if you can, why would you? I am sure there are times when we all make things that we don't like but unless it is really important, I don't anymore.

My quilts won't win any prizes - but they have been made with love in them and the people I give them too seem to be pleased with them and that makes me happy. I'm with you. We do it because we just love to. Keep creating.

No you are not crazy, I love scrappy quilting making what I want and enjoying what I do. I used to envy the ladies who can do those beautiful gorgeous quilts then I decided to love what I do and how I do it . So far I have never offered a quilt to a friend that was refused.

I love simple, bright (neon), fun children's quilts, too! What gives me joy is making Project Linus quilts. I love a novelty and four patch, plus many other simple designs. If I can do this till I keel over, I'll be a happy camper!

You are who you are and be comfortable with that. As far as a relationship- it will come when its meant to be. I tell my single friends to be happy, do what they like to do and have many gentlemen friends. Then in time things will all work out.

If it makes you happy, keep quilting and doll making. I am doing the same but not so many dolls and clothes sewing any more. By the way your quilts sound very lovable and cozy. Do you have any pictures posted online? I would love to see them. I think most of us are just having fun and that is just fine.
