Thanks Barb M! I did make the pattern up. I knew I wanted it jaggedy, and I drew it out, thinking I could just use that as a paper piecing template. Uhhhh NOPE! I'm sure there is a way you could do it, but I couldn't figure out a way to do it all together with the 'jags' going in different directions. I ended up using the paper pieces, but all cut apart. Each "jag" of blue & white was a separate paper, then I sewed them into 1/2 of the frame, then the two sides of the frame were sewn together. The center, where the card stock with the printing is, is actually open & I sewed the paper behind it.
Isn't it fun to see what happens when nobody tells you "you can't do that!"?? :!:
