YAY! Good for you! I had an old set, left in our condo when we bought it last year, so use them under the legs of a 2.5 ft X 4 ft folding table at the foot of our bed for a cutting table when I need space. I also use our king size bed for laying things out, then pull the whole thing up onto the folding table to make adjustments, etc. Works well and the height IS perfect!

I have to set up 4-5 cutting tables a month for Project Linus group and I use the white folding tables and my dh cut 12" pvc pipes I carry with me in a plastci litter box that I had empty. Makes it so much easier on the back.
Never bought risers like you mentioned.....These legs fit right in the 2" pvc pipe and raise it perfectly.
Glad others have the use of either one. Saves the back......

This is what I use because the bed risers weren't high enough. My DH bought me two 4'x8' tables. He measured how high I needed them to be so I don't have bend at all. He then cut pvc pipe to the right length and put caps on them so they won't cut the carpet. The caps make it very easy to move the tables around. I use one for cutting and the other one for ironing and pinning. I hope your risers work for you.

Okay, I truly understand the back. I took two 42" by 25" tables and put them up on the risers side-by-side and walla!!! Wonderful, no more crawling on the floor. I put the pinned quilt on the tables and started from the middle and worked my way out. Today was the first day I tried it and no MORE FLOOR!! The quilt slid nicely and I could baste it very nicely. You can find the tables out there on sale for $25-$35. Nice heavy-duty plastic tops and light-weight to move where ever I need them. They also hold a sewing machine very well.

I'm very lucky. My DH made me a custom cutting table. It is the perfect height and it has shelves for my boxes of fabric It also has a pull-out shelf which is where I keep my rulers. And it has an extension leaf that folds up when I need it. That feature makes it great for basting quilts. I do have a terrific hubby!

those bed risers are an amazing invention, they raise up the table to a perfect height.

Glad it works!! Being a shorty, my kitchen table is exactly right! I have to put a brick under my machine peddle so I can sit comfortably on my chair and yet see over the edge of the table! LOL
