Default Spicy Spiral made without binding

If you made your tablerunner like the pattern without binding, but turned, can you please post a picture of it here? I am in the process of making mine & have turned it but find the inside of the curve isn't laying how I want it. I don't really want to clip the seam allowance, and was just wondering how others had managed. Thanks. ps. I have searched through all the pictures here on the forum and it seems that everyone that I can find has binding.

When you have a curved piece of fabric, and sew like you have sewn it, it will never lay flat unless you clip the curves. The fabric needs that bit to spread itself around the curved space. Its a basic in sewing clothes.

Instead of clipping the curves, can you clip a few of the sewn threads between the sections to ease the curves?

This is one I made. I blew up the picture to show the table runner. You can get an idea of the curves. Didn't have any problems with smooth curves when I turned it.

Thank you for the picture! I finally decided to clip a few spots on the inner curve even though I wasn't wanting to & it's laying nicely now.... just needs quilting & that won't happen tonight.
