I have been intrigued by the postings on the split rail fence. I love the fabric used in msaqicki64 and she has been so kind to give the name of the fabric. How much material do you think it would take if I used the same 4 fabrics? I'm was thinking a large lap quilt or even a double size quilt. Do you think a yard each of all four would do it? I'm not real swift when it comes to math. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I forgot to add if the strips were 2 1/2 inches wide.

Assuming a 6x8 block layout of 10" FINISHED blocks (60"x80" ), you'd need about 1.5 yards of each block.
If you meant the strips were cut 2.5" (2" FINISHED in 8" blocks, 48"x64" ), then you could get away with 1 yard for each of the 4 fabrics.
