Default Spray Basting - Guidance needed

Okay. I pieced the McCalls Mystery quilt. I am doing a combination of stitch in the ditch and hand quilting it. Then I made three sections - one pin basted, one hand-basted and the third I want to spray baste (seeing which one is the best for me). However, I need your guidance. All the warnings on the June Taylor can scare me to death. Are the warnings only when you actually spray it on or do the warnings (well ventilated area, don't breathe it in, cancer...etc) or do they apply to the entire time you are hand-quilting it? I have a well-ventilated area to spray it on but am concerned if actually hand quilting it is dangerous. Thank you for any help you can give me. I will post pictures when I get it done.

In my opinion, it only applies while spraying. I use it all the time and never have a problem or even a smell while quilting.

Exactly the reason I don't use anything but Sulky KK 2000 temporary spray adhesive. It is safe to use indoors, non-flammable, non-toxic and orderless and clear. It's safe for the planet, ozone friendly, no CFC's or HCFC's.
This is a temporary adhesive, lasts only 2-5 days so you need to quilt soon. You use very little and you can reposition if necessary. I have terrible allergies and this doesn't seem to cause me any problems. Just a suggestion to try this. I haven't really pinned a quilt for so long, wouldn't know what to do.

My understanding is that most warnings like that apply to the vapor form of a product, which is actually a liquid that has been aerosolized. Usually it is the liquid carrier, or the gaseous propellant, that is the problem, and the adhesive itself is relatively inert once the carrier or propellant has evaporated/dispersed. Think of it like nail polish - once the acetone (or whatever) liquid carrier of the color has evaporated the polish itself is harmless (you don't have to avoid chips of dried nail polish, but you wouldn't sit around drinking or inhaling it before it has dried!)

Now I suppose I should add a legal sounding disclaimer explaining that I am not an inorganic chemist, nor a lawyer, and cannot be held responsible yadda yadda yadda...

I placed a tutorial on my blog a few months back, if you'd like to take a look.

Basting Spray Tutorial

I like KK2000 for short term projects and 505 spray for projects that will take some time to get done.
