Erin (DD) expressed a real interest in a yo-yo project she saw in one of my magazines. I don't want to make them but I thought it could be a great little project for her to do while she is in France next year. When I send her care packages I could send some charms squares to keep her busy.

Has anyone tried the Clover Yo-Yo makers? Are they worth the bother?
And if you know about the does the 3" yo-yo maker make a yoyo that is three inches across or is that the size you start with for your fabric size?

Thanks for your help!

I have the yo yo makers. I like them because I don't have to cut circles, I use fabric squares and then trim to fit after the fabric is in the maker. The Jumbo size makes a finished
3 1/2" size yo yo. The large size makes a finished 1 3/4" yo yo. The extra large makes a 2 3/8 finished yo yo.
Using the makers, you don't have to baste the edges, the edges are automatically turned under. There are online videos showing how to use them. Most are on youtube.

I purchased the yo-yos as well as the flower yo-yos. They are great. .I did exactly what you are planning on doing. My neice moved to Thailand for a year.. I sent her a care package with the yo-yo makers as well as a charm pack. She loved them!
Great time passer!

Thanks for your help!

I think these make it a lot easier to make consistent sized yo yo's. I think they are worth the money :D:D:D
