Default squaring up

I just learned something new, I have been busy squaring up quite a few squares for my new project and was using my sq. ruler, what I discoered was; I take the sticky part of a yellow postage note and glue it to the bottom of the ruler on the size I want . It makes the size you want to get to much more visible and a lot faster.
It works for me!!

I use blue painter's tape, but not an outline, just a couple of inches next to each line. I bought narrower bright colored tape at JoAnn's today. I put my tape on the top of the ruler. Using sticky notes is a good idea.

Have used this for years and works great. Love to go to lumber yard and get a plastic square cut the size I need. Someday I'll have one for all sizes.
