I'm doing it as 3 inch squares -- it will end up queen size in the end. I'm modifying it so the center wheel is 3 rings wide -- or maybe more and look like a center medallion -- and probably doing sampler blocks around the borders.
I tend to wing it as I make a quilt -- create changes as I go along. "The journey is more exciting than getting to destination."
I will post pix as I go -- right now it is all packed in a big suitcase to mail to Maine. I probably won't get to work on anything for several weeks. Getting the cottage opened up and the surroundings cared for takes time and effort. But we love to be there and it is a totally different life than winter in a condo on WA.
