I have made three baby quilts and each one has gotten bigger. I am not good at measuring..I barely had enough batting for this one.. it was 45 by 60 warm and natural batting..I have a inch on top and bottom and that is it..had to trim my side border so it would fit...what is a good size for a quilt that a mom can wrap up baby and go...these are more like crib quilts..

That is the size I usually make my baby quilts to be gifted. If a baby is very small at birth they usually make up for it in a hurry.
