I prefer both, but if it comes to deciding on just one, it would be the fat.

Same here.....but I won't pay more for a fat quarter than a skinny quarter.

In my area, fat quarters are $3-4 each the last I noticed.I buy fabric on sale at 50% off.So that's way cheaper for me.I also like a skinny because I can get 3 jelly roll cuts from it.
