to the link where others are cutting the smaller pieces into certain kinds like bricks??? etc....I need to organize my smaller pieces but am at a lost at this point. any help would be appreciated. TIA

I don't know the link, but what I do is start by cutting 3" strips and blocks. When there isn't enough to make another 3" strip, I look to cut 2.5" strips, then 2", then 1.5".
Sometimes a piece of fabric will 'suggest' the best ways to be cut. Example, a piece of fabric 5.75 x 11 suggests that I cut into two 2.5" strips x 11, and throw away that last sliver. Other quilters might have a different approach, but I base this on the sizes that I like to use in scrap quilts.
