This morning I had some things to get done and was running around. I needed green embroidery thread and I know I picked it up. and I got home took everything out of the bag and it's the only thing missing. I know it's only 39 cents but it's a 30 min drive back to the store to get it... So frusterating! I guess I'm going back tomorrow to get the thread that I needed in the first place. This time I think I'll go to Walmart and use the self scan so I know its in the bag!

That's getting to be a frequent problem; it's happened to us twice this year - both times at Wal-Mart. Was it on your receipt? If so, you can call the store & give them the item # & they'll give you another skein next time you go.

That sounds like one of those things easily missed/thrown out in the plastic bag.I did that a couple times with a pk of needles & another time it was hair bands. Now I check each bag before tossing.

I've gotten so that BEFORE leaving the store, I check out the stuff I have in the cart with the store receipt and make sure they match. Once the folks behind me got my last bag of stuff that was hanging on the round rack, and darn near knocked me down as they left, they knew very well it wasn't theirs. I didn't catch that until I got to my car and was hunting for my ice cream bar...

I did that recently with a 1/2 gal. of ice cream. Unloaded the bags and could not find the ice cream. I went to the car and looked and didn't see it, called the store, got a name and was told to bring the receipt and get another one the next time I was in the store. Now here's the fun part, I went to my car a few hours later to go to church and what do you know, the ice cream was in the floor board, still wrapped in plastic, but melted. I threw the whole thing away and wanted to kick myself because it was in the car the whole time and I had even looked.
