Hi, I just thought I would share what I see as great fortune, I spent Christmas up in Basingstoke in Berkshire England and my DIL and I went into Town on Monday to see if there were any deals on Fabric and woe and behold I found enough fabric )4 different types ) to maKE MY MIL's lap quilt for when she is out and about on her mobility scooter. Beatifull shades of Buirgendy plains and florals.
They were only asking £2.39 per metre for 100% cotton.
I am so chuffed as around Cornwall I would have paid double (and possibly more) than that.

Fabricland in the main shopping mall in Basingstoke. Worth a visit and the young woman who served me was really helpful especially when I said I was a learner, she worked out how much fabric I needed and gave me some great tips to.
Enjoy your visit.

How exciting for you! I have a question, what does "chuffed" mean exactly? I've never heard it before.

I think 'chuffed' may mean excited. But I am not sure, but that is how I understood it in the post.
