you said you were fishing for compliments, well you caught one. I do not have the patience to quilt by hand. I tried it. Made one quilt. That was that.

Love your work. Respect the amount of time to make a quilt like you do. You are not weird. You are a talented, committed quilter. WooHOO, you go girl.

WOW! Thanks for the close up of your quilt showing the knife edge. You are inspired! As I look at your even stitches, I'm reminded of the piano teacher that said "practice makes perfect" - you have "practiced" a very long time and it shows! How very talented you are!

I wish my work was as 'weird' as yours.

Borntohandquilt: your work is phantastic. Just a couple of questions: do you also walk everywhere you go? Do you have sheep for wool and/or a cotton field, chickens on the balcony? grow your own coffee beans or teas, have a cow or goats for milk, kerosene lamp for light and a coal burning stove? There must be a handcrank grammophone in your house (no such junk as a CD player for music), and a 2-holer in your backyard?
It is great what you do, but I love the advantages that come with new technology.

As an ex embroiderer, I am hypnotised by your work. Sie sind nicht kömisch!
I too love the advantages of new technology, but I also believe we should take arts on with us - it is what civilises us.
I don't feel that toilets are an indicator of civilisation. Especially when we use 9 litres of potable water each time we go, and many people do not have acces to potable water or a toilet.

Wouldn't it be boring if we were all alike? Do your own thing and enjoy it. Your quilting is awesome.
