Well, get busy! LOL.

I've not done one yet, either, but will some day soon. All of them are simply beautiful!

Default string quilts

I love string quilts and have lots and lots of strings, so should start one but other things first. I'll see if I can find some I've done. Thanks for this thread. I could just find one I have done.

I used my strings to make two different spider web quilts. I did them as foundation piecing and am now ready to put them with the backing. I am using sheets in the middle as they are already heavy enough. My second upload keeps failing. Perhaps it is too big.

Thanks for sharing all these beautiful quilts. You have inspired me to make a string quilt.

Murphy 1, your Spider Web quilt is just gorgeous, a balanced blend of warm and cool colors. I love this thread, a string quilt is on my wish list of quilts to make, and I love having pictures to drool over.

Just finished piecing this quilt. My daughter has a much better eye for photography, and shot these pics for me. They still need to be sandwiched and quilted. I've never made this pattern before, but it was very fun to sit with a basket of strings and simply keep adding to the blocks. Not sure I liked using phonebook paper, , it was very messy. Next time I'd like to use muslin.
