Default Quilts and Statues Scavenger Hunt!

After seeing Elise1 picture posts I thought of a fun idea. Let's have a scavenger hunt per say. Try to take a picture of one of your quilts draped on a statue in your city, town, even yard. I think it would be so much fun to see all the pictures. I am off to the city to see if I can find one today.

What do you all think?

Sounds fun! Personal perspective, though, tells me those of us on the east coast will have to wait a week or more because of the impending humongous storm due over the weekend and into next week. I'll be checking back to see those who aren't weather restricted though!

I love this idea! I have the choice of two great places to go this weekend if "Sandy" doesn't spoil it.

Sandy is a huge storm set to hit the U.S. coast in the next couple of days? It has already slammed into Cuba.

Oh my Gosh! This is a great idea. I live in Manchester, NH and we have a huge mill building district where they used to make textiles, steam fire engines, etc. As a tribute to the mill girls who came from the surrounding countryside to work in the mill, we have a Mill Girl statue. I just realized she would look great with a quilt draped over her! She was probably in the mill make textiles! We do have that big storm coming though, so I may not be able to do the picture until it passes as the sun is not expected to be out until then. I will post the photo when I take it. I have scrappy quilt from my grandmother's sister that would look perfect.
