    Default Pointed Fan Pattern

Anyone have the instructions for a pointed fan block? If I remember right the points are not tacked down, just tacked at the seams but I have lost my pattern.

Here is a youtube video by Kaye Woods that shows that she doesn't tack the points down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpxHg6NeHDY

That is a great idea. I want to make one soon. I have a ruler, not hers but I think it will work.

I really like Kaye Woods approach to quilting..........she makes it as simple as possible.
Watched the tute mentioned above and like that way of doing it, but I guess my question would be, since those points are not tacked down somehow, would they not have a tendency to "curl" with time and use???????? If I were to do it, I think I would maybe bar tack those points down........

When I have made dresdens or pointed fans, I just use one of my wedge rulers. I have seemed to collect several of them in varying degrees. . . I used my 12 degree one to make this bib. To get the points, I just folded the corners in and pressed to make the point. I like the idea of the 2 colors as shown in the video because then it has a facing on it.
