I'm glad you had a great sewing experience. Quarter inch seam is probably the most important thing you need to master. Once I could do those seams I could make any quilt I wanted.

The day you had --- well, it just warms my heart and makes me smile!

I love the thrill of being a little nervous about starting a new project - then the pride of being able to conquer something I thought would be tough - then the satisfaction of the finished project is just heaven. But the highest-high is gifting that quilt to a loved one who appreciates the effort you put into something just for them! Happy Quilting! :D :D

I'm so happy for you. That feeling just keeps going. You get it with the first quilt and keep it alive by making more quilts and then by challenging yourself to make quilts with difficult piecing, applique, etc. And if you ever sense that you're losing it, just make a quilt and take it to a nursing home, hospital, St. Judes, you get it back all over again.
