Default visited a Project Linus chapter get together

What an amazing group of ladies and gentlemen. The Portland (Oregon)/Vancouver (Washington) Chapter were meeting and inspecting the quilts/blankets, putting on the labels, tags and poems and then tying them. One of the ladies has made over 3000 children's quilts since 2000. There are more than 300 chapters through out the USA and their mission is to provide a new blanket for babies, children, and teens in hospitals and other "scarry" situations. They have also sent blankets to victims of earthquakes, floods, and tornados It is such an heartwarming feeling to know people still care about others that they do not even know. I am putting together a video that will eventually be on public TV, and on my web site.
I salute all of you who participate.

What a wonderful post about a fantastic cause! No one will ever know the far-reaching good this organization has done.

Vancouver is my home town. Glad you were able to experience Project Linus. I was looking at starting a chapter in my area, however I am a smoker and unable to be part of the project. I can understand and am using my talents and volunteering my time to other organizations.

Have been part of Linus for many years and it is always great to receive the thank you notes from families. Kids need support on many levels.

this week-end I met a salesman from the UK who mentioned that Project Linus is really big in England. I hadn't realized the organizaton was world-wide. I am learning more and more and look forward to the meeting in Vancouver, WA, early in April
