What about just using it as it is and adding borders. If you cut it up, you will loose the pattern. Some fabrics....you just can't cut it.

I also agree you should use it as it is. I like it very much. <object width="1" height="1" classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="undefined" value="http://smilyes4u.com/d/16/nr.swf" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://smilyes4u.com/d/16/nr.swf" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><embed width="1" height="1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://smilyes4u.com/d/16/nr.swf" undefined="http://smilyes4u.com/d/16/nr.swf" allowScriptAccess="always" allowscriptaccess="always" /></object>

I agree as well,... the fabric looks 'quilty' all by itself... just a border or two

I would cut in vertical strips and put each strip on either side of a vertical row of Variable Stars. I did something similar with a fabric that I didn't want to cut too much.

Fussy cutting the rectangles, adding borders around each rectangle. would make a nice wall hanging or even a full size quilt. They would make nice frames for a block, or sashing.... the possiblities ar endless! Nice fabric! If you get bored with it, send it my way....LOL!

Thanks all! I have done the pattern search in books and online and keep coming back to the same ideas as you have posted. Its a bit brighter in real life than on the screen. It is vintage fabric from the 50's and maybe that's why I havn't commited to a pattern. Unusual for me to have a focus fabric and not be able to chose.
