Default Suggestions and opinions needed pls

I have this piece of fabric that is not supposed to be cut not to lose any California landmark in it. I was thinking to add a small border then pinwheel blocks around all four sides or just four pinwheel blocks on the corners of course after adding the small border and then to connect the two corner blocks with three strip border. Which one would you think will look better or if you have any ideas would love to hear from you.
Thanks

i like your idea of the pinwheel blocks. however, i'd use something not so bold. your colors overpower your focus fabric.

For sure, I'd put solid color strips around the focus fabric first. Maybe two colors.
Then flying geese. Blue and yellow being the colors I'd use.

I'm a fan of the 3-border look: a 2" solid border, a very narrow stop border in a color that coordinates with the center panel, then another solid border that coordinates and then a colored binding. Like another poster above, I think that the bright pinwheels distract from the center panel.

I'd do the pinwheels in subdued hues of the colors in your feature fabric, so as not to take away from the fabric - and use the feature fabric for a wider border. I'd do 2 borders, one in a sandy color (narrow) and the 2nd, wider. I'd do sashing from the sandy color, too, to separate the pinwheels. Love the fabric. Am working on one right now with the Oregon landmarks and features, its black with lovely colors in it. It's a challenge using the fabric in such a way that you maximize every inch, so I know what you're going through! You might try to find more, to use for the back, if possible, since you love it so much.

I like your ideas, but I was wondering about using your fabric in the scenic bargello method used by another member recently. Not sure if seaming it distorts your fabric more than you want. Just another idea.

Hopefully I can attach the link;

Thank you so much ladies. I played with the two blocks I made trying to see how they look and first you are right about the colors being too bold and taking from the center piece and I am leaning towards a calm tone color now so I will be playing with more options.
Thank you all again

Yes I would rather see the blue and yellow.
