Default Suggestions??

Okay folks, I'm doing a round robin in our guild and this is a 25" x 14" center I have been given. Any suggestions for a 3" boarder?

We will be trading each month and I will be asking for suggestions each time.

Thanks for any ideas you have!

Well now that's different. If you have any of that border fabric maybe do flying geese or donut blocks (square surrounded by the border fabric) going all around. It looks like it needs something to dress it up.

I like this. I think I would do flying geese chasing each other around in green and purple or maybe simple four patches in green and purple. Or pinwheels.
If you do flying geese you could do just part of the side in geese and the rest just the background fabric. Would work with the modern feel of this center.

Woo,good luck with those colors. Flying geese is a good suggestion for a border as Dog suggested.

flying geese is a nice touch - take it one step further and do migrating geese. MSQC has a tutorial on this.

Interesting challenge since the top and bottom measurement and the side measurements aren't divisible by anything!! How would you make flying geese, or anything else? Just curious.

If that was my "challenge", the first thing I would do is square it off, or at least make it into numbers that you can build upon......then any traditional block would do......

I would choose an orange fabric for the border. You could use a print that's swirly like the purple or mottled like the green. Or something different from both. I'd choose orange because 1) it's unexpected, and 2) it's the other "secondary" color on the color wheel. (Primary colors are red, yellow, and blue. The secondary colors are derived like this: red + blue = purple; yellow + blue = green; red + yellow = orange.) I guess I should add 3) I love color! The more the merrier in my book!

Loe the colours and the fabric but have no idea on what to do next! Show us when you have done though please!
