Yes, the blocks that you cut from the strips are the 1st two 2 1/2 blocks in the corner.
Yes, the background fabric will always be the corner stone or where you would call the heart of the log cabin

hang on i am sure some will post as they finish up sewing the steps. you jumping in or just observing?

I'm going to hang around and watch the progress. I wish I had seen this earlier so that I could be participating. It looks like a lot of fun.

Fun for them, agony for me! LOL I cant wait to see pictures to see how everyone is doing, the wait is killing me!!
