I use a Pellon interfacing EK130. It is a knit. I iron it on the back of the t-shirt with the stretch going up and down. There is no stretch in any direction after that.

I wrote the wrong interfacing! I use Pellon 906F!! My brain was fried when I originally wrote this....

Just be careful on the paint or plastic syllables on the shirts. There may be holes where your needle goes through the shirt. I have seen it crack and peal in them. Good luck.
