Ahhhhh, it's always so much fun to get a new sewing machine. Congratulations! I don't have one, but they are very popular at my LQS. They seem to have a lot of features for the money. Did you get a new one or used one?

Welcome!! I don't have that model, but I have a Janome MC 7700. My other machine is a Bernina and I think they're both great machines, but the Janome is much quieter and seems to feed the fabric more smoothly. The user manual (I hope you got one) is great - written so it's easy to understand and illustrated. I don't know what special features the 5700 has, so I can't compare, but if it's a Janome, I'm sure you'll love it!!
