Not a lot of information to go on....

    To St. Louis?
    To New York?
    To Japan?
    To Afghanistan?
    Is it big or little?
Does it fit in a flat rate box?
    What are you sending?

    You can check out usps.com , fedex.com, ups.com, dhl.com.

if you know the size of the package- the weight- the zip code where you are sending it too- and how much insurance you want on it all you have to do is visit any of the places that ship packages...ie: post office, ups, fed ex, dsl, ect...plug in the information- the shipping charges come right up

I am asking this question in general - not for a specific
package. I will re-phrase the question & hope it makes sense. Except for checking each method of shipping, getting a price & comparing, I was wondering if there is a place where you can enter info. such as weight, size, to & from etc. & ask for cheapest rate. (I am looking for a
    quicker, easier way) Thank you

You can go to all three -- the USPO, FedX and UPS ONLINE to get pricing estimates. I tend to always end up at the PO -- it's cheaper and easier to send items.

I ship everything from home. USPS gives you a 5% discount. You can enter zip codes to get the prices. I love not having to go to the post office.
