Default technical question

i have a technique question: I'm making "Lady of the Lake" from the Quilts of Ford Museum book. Directions have you cutting 707 2 3/8 squares then cutting them in half and sewing them to the 707 2 3/8 half squares of the secondary color which were cut the same ( whole to half). Do i have to do that or can i use HST technique without resizing the squares?

I don't see why not, just so they come out the same size as needed. You can always trim up too.

Try and see if it works. It will save a lot of work.
